About Iced Creations
My Story
I’m Gillian and I am the founder of Iced Creations Cakes. I design and create beautiful Wedding and Celebration event cakes from my home kitchen in Bristol, UK.
Creating cakes for family events is always my opportunity to be creative. As my family has grown, I wanted to be able to create different designs, so I decided to enrol in a City & Guilds Sugar craft course. Having worked in the Corporate world as a Supply Chain manager for over 25 years, it didn’t take long for me to realise cake design and decorating was my passion. I am naturally creative and love beautiful, simple elegance.
I worked hard on perfecting my craft using the techniques I was learning and then, like so many others during lockdown, I was made redundant. Whilst this was a worrying time, I knew that I needed to follow my passion. I put all my effort into the cake business and, quite honestly, I haven’t looked back. ‘Every day is a learning day’ is definitely my new saying!. I enjoy researching different elements to create bespoke designs and trying out new techniques and styles.
When I’m not creating cakes, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy gardening, keeping fit, particularly walking and Zumba, relaxing with a nice cup of tea and cake, of course!

I love to create something different, that has a modern twist on traditional, something simple and elegant that compliments your theme ideas for both Wedding and Celebrations events.

For me, it is an honour to be part of your celebration, creating a lasting centrepiece that will be revered for years to come. Attention to detail is key, ensuing that your bespoke design looks amazing, but equally important, taste delicious!
